Found

A GPS shoe insole that provides real-time access to a loved one's location.

Found, aims to provide tools to build a better quality of life for the elderly community and provide peace of mind to their loved ones. However, this device isn't just limited to the elderly and can be used for pets, children, and anyone’s location. This project was inspired by a real-life event where a loved one's grandmother who suffers from dementia went missing on a walk. It made me wonder as to how to locate someone who doesn't have access to a smartphone or might simply forget to carry it with them.

How might you locate a loved one if they were to go missing and didn’t have access to a smartphone? I wanted to use my creative prototyping skills to see if I could theoretically solve this problem.

Why did I pick a shoe insole?

Because shoes can be seamlessly integrated into a person's everyday attire. However, with further testing, the technology could be integrated into multiple other form factors depending on the use case.
